## Industry-specific regulation

Healthcare and education approvals: SHCC acts as a single window for 'All licenses - commercial, facility, professional under one roof'. Company registration and the commercial / professional / industrial licence are issued by SHCC (its Registrar). Healthcare-facility and practitioner licensing sit with the Sharjah Health Authority's Health Regulation Department, which licenses and inspects facilities 'inside and outside SHCC': facilities get a preliminary approval (extendable up to 6 months) and then a permanent Health Facility License (HFL) after inspection; practitioners need an SHA professional assessment and Health Professional License (HPL), linked to the facility. HFL files include medical director appointment, emergency operation plan approval from the emergency & disaster management division, Wekaya medical-waste registration, FANR registration for radiology equipment, infection-control policy, medical-device list and malpractice insurance. Clinical activity needs a business plan at company setup. Health advertisements need SHA approval. SHA applies federal health laws (e.g. Federal Law 4/2015 on private health facilities, Federal Law 5/2019 on practising human medicine). No education-sector approvals found. [1]
