Privacy policy

The site collects no personal data. What little it does handle, and why.

Draft for legal review against the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021). Last updated October 2026.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms that send your details to us.

  • When you browse: Amazon Web Services (AWS), which hosts the site, processes technical data (such as the page requested, your IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
  • When you use the shortlist tool or a comparison: your choices are worked out in your browser. They are part of the page address so you can share it, which means they are part of that technical data like any other address; we don't link them to you.
  • Fonts and scripts are served from our own site. There are no adverts, social media buttons or other third-party embeds.

Emails you send us

If you email contact@freezoneguide.com, we receive your email address and what you wrote. We use it only to answer you or act on what you tell us, such as checking a figure against the zone's official source. We don't add you to any list, share your email or use it for marketing, and we delete correspondence when it is no longer needed, within 24 months at most.

Who we share it with

No one. We don't sell, rent or pass on personal data. Our processors are Amazon Web Services (hosting), Cloudflare (analytics) and the provider of our inbox.

Where it is processed

AWS and Cloudflare run global networks, and our inbox provider may store email outside the UAE, so technical data and email may be processed outside the UAE, under each provider's data processing terms.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete any email you sent us, or to stop using it, by writing to contact@freezoneguide.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

Cookies and local storage

We use no cookies. The compare tray and the "differences only" setting are kept in your own browser's local storage and never leave your device.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
